Chief Executive salary is annualised from information available in the 2024/25 Wellington City Council annual report. Other data is sourced from a Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act (LGOIMA) request provided by Wellington City Council.
Except for the Chief Executive's salary, the Rich List uses the mid-point of each reported salary band as the basis for comparisons and ranking. Employee's names and roles identified from publicly available sources — including the council's own website, annual reports, meeting minutes and LinkedIn profiles — have been included.
Salary midpoints are as of 24 March 2026. Rich Listers have been given the chance to check and verify the information provided prior to publication.
